Across the Aisle Vol. 3 Expands in Las Vegas with Largest Civic Forum Yet | GZLV

April 13, 20263 min read

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Las Vegas, NV — The Gen Z Coalition of Las Vegas will host its third live civic forum, Across the Aisle Vol. 3, on April 27, marking the organization’s largest and most expansive event to date.

Building on the momentum of its previous forums, the upcoming event will bring together candidates from across the political spectrum, including Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, and Independent, for a structured, moderated discussion followed by live audience engagement.

Unlike traditional debate formats, which often function as controlled messaging environments or partisan echo chambers, Across the Aisle is designed to prioritize direct, unfiltered dialogue between candidates and the public.

A Different Kind of Political Forum

At its core, the event is built around accessibility and real-time engagement.

Candidates will participate in:

  • Opening statements

  • A moderated policy round

  • Closing statements

  • A live, audience-driven Q&A session

Attendees, including students and community members, will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to candidates, creating an environment where conversation replaces scripted talking points.

This format reflects a growing demand for transparency and accountability, particularly among younger voters seeking more direct access to those running for office.

Growing Demand and Expanding Scale

The Gen Z Coalition’s previous events demonstrated strong demand for this style of civic engagement.

As documented in prior coverage , earlier forums brought together a diverse group of candidates and emphasized real-time participation from students and attendees. That momentum has continued to build.

Following the second event:

  • Attendance increased

  • Candidate participation expanded

  • Interest from across political affiliations grew

For the first time, confirmed participation now includes candidates from both major parties, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to cross-spectrum dialogue.

In response to this demand, the April 27 forum will be held in a significantly larger venue, allowing for expanded attendance and increased media presence.

Independent, Grassroots, and Replicable, But Not Easily Reproduced

Since the initial forum, similar events have begun to appear across Nevada, attempting to replicate the format.

However, organizers emphasize that what sets Across the Aisle apart is its independent, grassroots foundation.

The Gen Z Coalition operates without backing from special interest groups or institutional control, allowing it to maintain neutrality in structure, moderation, and candidate engagement.

“We’re not here to push a narrative,” said Marlon A. Medina, founder of the Gen Z Coalition of Las Vegas.
“We’re here to create a space where people can hear directly from candidates, ask real questions, and form their own conclusions.”

Media Access and Community Impact

To support coverage and documentation, the event will include a dedicated press room and media access area, with invitations extended to local, student, and independent media outlets.

The forum will also be livestreamed, extending its reach beyond the room and allowing broader access to the conversation across Las Vegas and beyond.

While the initiative is youth-led, its impact extends across the broader community.

Issues discussed will include:

  • Housing and cost of living

  • Public safety

  • Education

  • Infrastructure and economic growth

These are not student-only concerns, they are issues that affect all Nevadans.

Sponsorship Opportunities

With increased scale and visibility, the organization is also opening select sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.

Sponsors will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain visibility in front of a highly engaged audience

  • Be present in a civic environment with candidates and community leaders

  • Support a platform centered on open dialogue and civic participation
